Thomas Keranen
'72Thomas M. Keranen grew up in Marquette, Michigan, and followed his dad, brother and many relatives to Michigan Tech to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. '54, '54While working toward his bachelor’s degree at Michigan Tech, Jim also worked as an underground copper miner in Ahmeek, MI. After earning his B.S. degrees in Geological Engineering and Mining Engineering in 1954 he spent four years with the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator.
